Jonah Hill’s ‘Emotional Interview’ on ‘The Tonight Show’
On Thursday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jonah Hill played the Emotional Interview game. The rules of the game are as simple as they are silly. The two were supposed to carry on a conversation and had to incorporate emotions as they appeared onscreen. One of the emotions was ‘condescending.’ Jonah donned an aloof demeanor and told Jimmy, “You’re going to get there as a host one day.”
The two then got a direction to only speak in one-word sentences. Their banter went like this. Jimmy: “Sup?” Jonah: “Bored.” Jimmy: “Really?” Jonah: “Kidding.”
Soon they got the suggestion of ‘pandering,’ but Jonah Hill started talking about a panda he just got. Jimmy tried to lead him into pandering to the audience, but Jonah continued to talk about his panda. However, they did end up pandering to the audience by giving imaginary pandas away to the studio audience.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 pm on NBC.
