Josh Flagg Buys BevHills Estate for $5m

It was a mysterious digital communique that arrived in the middle of the night from which we first heard that Beverly Hills real estate agent and “Million Dollar Listing” star Josh Flagg snatched up the Beverly Hills estate of late television producer and two-time Tony-winning Broadway producer Michael Filerman for somewhere around its $5.25 million pricetag. Tucked into the tail end of a narrow, celeb-favored cul-de-sac in the convenient and desirable lower Coldwater Canyon area, the 1.3-plus-acre estate is surrounded by homes owned by a bevy high-profile types like Paul McCartney, who bought his secluded estate from rock star and tabloid staple Courtney Love.

Listing details show the 1950s traditional comes it at just under 5,000 square feet, with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, including a master suite that commands the entire second floor. But those details are somewhat meaningless, since we rang Mister Flagg for a comment, and he not only confirmed the purchase but elaborated that he and his interior-designer partner, Colton Thorn, plan an extensive multiyear, and no doubt exceedingly costly, renovation that will transform the existing house into a Hamptons-style mansion of around 8,000 square feet. The only feature that will remain is the massive, 12-car motor court at the front of the house, and the luxe-living pair plan to add extensive landscaping and what promises to be a positively cinematic 120-foot infinity-edge pool.
