Julie Andrews was an integral part of "The Princess Diaries" film franchise, but she doesn't expect there to be a third installment in the series.
"That's a good question," Julie responded when Access Hollywood Live's Kit Hoover asked her about making a third "Princess Diaries" with Anne Hathaway. "I would never say no because Disney's so wonderfully clever and inventive, but I would think they'll stay with just the two because of Annie."
Anne has, of course, gone on to more mature roles since she played the plucky teen who found out she was the princess of Genovia in the 2001 box office success, which has just been released on Blu-Ray, along with its sister film, "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," as part of National Princess Week, and released exclusively at Target.
While talking about the films and National Princess Week, Julie confirmed that the late Whitney Houston was a producer on "The Princess Diaries."
"She came on the set one day and it was lovely to see her," Julie told Kit and Billy Bush.
"We took some photographs together and it was pretty fast because we had deadlines that day, but she was lovely and she was enthusiastic," Julie added.
Julie may not have another "Princess Diaries" in the works, but alongside her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, she's crafted a series of popular children's books called "The Very Fair Princess," and she explained the secret to working well together.
"We're both a bit bossy and strict and so on, but what it is -- we have different strengths," she said.
