Julie Andrews Remembers James Garner: 'I Am Deeply Sad' (Exclusive)

Julie Andrews is remembering her longtime friend and co-star of James Garner, who died over the weekend at the age of 86.

“Jimmy was my friend for over 50 years. We made three movies together," the actress said in an exclusive statement to Access Hollywood.

The late actor and Julie appeared in "The Americanization of Emily" in 1964, "Victor Victoria" in 1982, and "One Special Night" in 1999.

"He was not only a wonderful actor, he was a great reactor on film. Working with him was easy and fun and always a joy. I am deeply sad that he is no longer with us and my heart goes out to his wife, Lois, and his daughter, Gigi,” Julie continued in the statement.

Other stars remembered the late actor as well over the weekend.

James died of natural causes at his home last Saturday night in Los Angeles.
