    Jump Jump Dance Dance is a Los Angeles-based electro-pop band that’s fearless in shattering the preconceived notions of musical boundaries. The full-length Jump Jump Dance Dance (Universal Music Australia / Ministry Of Sound Australia) album will be released on January 30th, 2012 in North America.

    “Show Me The Night” is a hook-y, catchy song that pays homage to The Clash's “This Is Radio Clash” with guitar riffs evocative of Franz Ferdinand. Said Chris Carter, vocalist and guitarist for Jump Jump Dance Dance, “The Clash were one of the greatest punk rock bands of all time and they were surely an influence on me artistically. So to be compared with The Clash is super-awesome and a huge compliment!” Adds Jump Jump Dance Dance's Simon Lewicki, “We actually toured with Franz [Ferdinand]…they’re fantastic guys and we had loads of fun! It’s cool to be able to spend time together on-the-road performing, especially when it means traveling with your mates who have similar tastes in music.”

    The Radio Edit of “Show Me The Night” is a booty-shakin’ paean to a carefree nightlife filled with mystery and possibility. Lewicki is masterful at self-control, giving just enough breathing room for Carter's flirty, come-hither vocals to dominate. The Grum Remix is a psychedelic, fantastical interpretation of the original, replete with swirly synths and a toe-tapping beat. Human Life's West Coast Girls Remix is a throwback version that nods affectionately towards the disco era with Carter's vocal practically rhythmic in its own staccato fashion. The Nick Galea Remix is an absolutely filthy, tribal climax of a song that makes the listener surrender completely to house music urges.

    Like their previous single, “2.0” (in particular the Laidback Luke remix), which leaned heavily on synth-pop and a pounding bottom end, “Show Me The Night” lends itself brilliantly to progressive-house friendly dancefloors. With its spacious architecture, “Show Me The Night” is a mischievous ode to a long night out where anything is possible. It’s a song as well suited for a darkened dancefloor as it is for an outdoor festival, wherever there are strobelights and lasers piercing the fog.

    Carter and Lewicki have a DJ’s sensibility for rocking a party, and they perform as DJs when not touring as a band. With skills gleaned from years of DJing alongside the likes of David Guetta, Franz Ferdinand, Tommie Sunshine and the late DJ AM, Jump Jump Dance Dance (the band) has Carter on guitar and vocals, with Lewicki injecting a heavy dose of synthesizers and programming. A live drummer is also added to the band setup.
