Justin Bieber Gets Arrested for Assault and Dangerous Driving

Justin Bieber had another brush with the law over the weekend. The 20-year-old singer was arrested and released after being charged with driving dangerously and assault near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario. From The Star:

A spokesman for Perth County OPP says Bieber, 20, went to the police office and was arrested, then released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 29.

Constable Kees Wijnands says there were no injuries as a result of the collision, but can’t say whether there were any injuries from the altercation.

According to reports, Bieber's ATV collided with a minivan on Friday, which was what led to the altercation.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene of a collision between a minivan and an All-Terrain Vehicle on Line 40, east of Road 106, in the Township of Perth shortly before 3 p.m. Friday.

“Investigation revealed that after colliding, the driver of the ATV and an occupant of the minivan engaged in a physical altercation,” said an OPP news release.

Bieber already has plans to report to court next week in Toronto for an assault charge he picked up late last year.

Earlier this year, Bieber was arrested in Miami for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license. In July, he was ordered to pay over $80,000 for egging a neighbor's house in California and was put on probation for two years.

So far Bieber's representatives aren't commenting on this latest episode.
