When Justin Bieber wrote the song "Baby," it's doubtful that he had babies on the brain. However, now a girl named Mariah Yeater is claiming that he does have a baby -- the 20-year-old has filed a paternity suit against the Biebs.
She claims that she had sex with Justin backstage at show in L.A. and that she gave birth to the Biebs' son, Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater, three months ago. Justin's rep has already denied the allegations.
But for the Beliebers out there that are still worried about Justin being a deadbeat dad, here a few reasons why Mariah's claims seem very fishy:
It's an Easy Claim to Back Out Of
Mariah told a judge that there's no way another man can be the father of her child based on the baby's birth date, but if Justin is ordered to take a paternity test that proves that he is not the father, perhaps she thinks she can easily avoid getting in trouble by simply saying that she forgot about an encounter with another man. Which brings us to --
She Obviously Wants Attention
So why would Mariah lie? Well, based on the fact that her photo and that of her baby boy are plastered on the front page of Star magazine, it's fairly obvious that she's in it for the fame or the cash. Radar Online reports that the young mother is on public assistance right now while she waits to see if she'll be getting any child support from Justin, so perhaps she thought selling a fabricated story to Star would be a good way to make some quick cash to provide care for her child.
The Timing of Her Lawsuit Filing was too Perfect
Mariah filed her court papers on Oct. 31, just one day before Justin's album "Under the Mistletoe" hit store shelves. She probably realized that her case would get even more attention if the web got wind of it on a day that the Biebs was already creating buzz, lending some credence to the idea that she filed the paternity suit to get her fifteen minutes.
Her Story is Simply Un-Beliebable!
When Mariah described her encounter with Justin, she claims that he was a virgin but that he was aggressive and used some unrepeatable language. Her story kind of reads like something written on the disturbing Dirty Bieber Secrets Tumblr, so perhaps she's just some crazy fan who believes that filing a paternity suit is a good way to meet Justin. After all, some Beliebers are pretty obsessive and unhinged -- they once bombarded Kim Kardashian with death threats because they were crazy enough to believe that she was dating the teen.
Justin's Thoughts on Sex Don't Match her Story
Mariah's story is even harder to swallow because of Justin's thoughts on sex. During a Rolling Stone interview, he wouldn't say that he believes in abstinence until marriage, but he did say that he thinks that "you should just wait for the person you're...in love with," not some random girl at a concert.
Justin Practices Responsible Family Planning
The Biebs might be young, but he's not dumb when it comes to looking ahead in life. Justin seems to be thinking pretty responsibly when it comes to starting a family, because he has said that he wants to be married and thinking about starting a family at age 25 or 26 so that he can be a young (but not too young) dad. Mid-twenties might seem a little too young for a celeb to settle down by today's standards, but Justin's life plan is pretty reasonable for a teen. And since the Biebs seems pretty level-headed, it's very unlikely that he would do something stupid like practice unsafe sex with a groupie.
It's also safe to say that a teen star like Justin with tons of female fans is told time and time again by his handlers and his parents to be extremely careful. Judging from the way he acts and what he says, it does seem like Justin has been listening to them.
So what do you think of this outrageous claim -- is Mariah a Belieber that's desperate to get close to Justin any way she can, or is it possible that she's telling the truth?
