Kanye West Shares Story Behind Kim Kardashian West and Amber Rose's 'Real' Selfie and How He 'Squashed' Feud with Wiz Khalifa
Kanye West is sharing the secrets to his diplomacy.
During a radio interview with Real 92.3 on Thursday, the 38-year-old rapper shared how he settled his viral Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa, 28.
"My brother Malik Yusef got us on the phone," said West. "We chopped it up, squashed it."
At the center of the squabble last week: Khalifa's tweet featuring "KK" – an abbreviation for Khalifa Kush, the rapper's marijuana strain – which West thought was a reference to his wife Kim Kardashian West, 35. That's why, explained West, he tweeted a series of now-deleted insults aimed at Khalifa; their mutual ex Amber Rose, 32; and the former couple's son Sebastian, 23 months.
"I didn't mean it in a harmful way," West said on the show. "I just saw my wife's initials and reacted because that's my family. People [think] that because she's on TV or was in an SNL skit that it's open season."
The musician added: "That's the mother of my kid. And I'm Ye. I'm gonna hold my wife down."
The conversation soon turned to Rose, who criticized the hitmaker for mentioning her son and shared explicit tweets about West's sexual preferences. (He later denied her claims on Twitter, writing "I'm not into that kind of s---.")
But the group put the drama behind them this week, as West tweeted about a "positive" phone call with Khalifa and Kardashian West shared a selfie from her peace-making chat with Rose.
"Yes, it is – that's a real picture," West said of the unlikely duo's photo. "They were at Kris [Jenner]'s house."
West noted that he was "glad" everyone is now on the same page, adding: "It was great to have closure – to just talk and build."
