‘Kate Plus 8′ Sneak Peek: Chores, Headaches and a Case of Shingles (Video)
It’s never easy to get a child to clean their room and Kate Gosselin may know that times eight.
In a sneak peek of Tuesday’s “Kate Plus 8,” Gosselin keeps her cool while Mady throws a tantrum when camera crews enter her unclean bedroom.
“It’s no wonder I’m sick with a stress disease. I knew for an ongoing period of time, I was really stressed,” Gosselin says. “It was a wake up call because I ended up with shingles.”

The viral infection can cause a painful rash with blisters and is common in elderly people, according to the Mayo Clinic website.
“It stinks because [doctors] tell me to get away from the stress,” Gosselin said laughing. “But that’s a joke. Being a single parent makes any process more difficult. You’re down a parent. With two parents, it wasnt enough then, and now it’s like, ‘Good luck to you.'”

The episode also touches on the family’s lighter moments where they launch small pumpkins into a target and the children help paint the home.
Gosselin was recently seen as a contestant on NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” before she was fired from the show on Monday night, as TheWrap previously reported.
“Kate Plus 8″ airs at 8 p.m. on TLC.
