Will and Kate's Excellent Canadian Adventure
Prince William and his new wife Kate have been in Canada for almost a week now. It's the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first official overseas visit since their April 29 wedding, and their subjects in North America are giving them quite a comprehensive tour. (Canada, of course, is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, formerly known as the British Commonwealth, and Will's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is their monarch.) Here's a sampling of the activities so far on Will and Kate's excellent adventure.

Just after stepping off the plane in Ottawa, Will and Kate met with Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper. William gave some remarks and checked out the soldiers.

Their second day happened to be Canada Day, and the Royal couple visited Parliament Hill, where they saw an air show by the Snowbirds, Canada's equivalent to the Blue Angels. Kate evidently dressed up like the Canadian flag.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge next planted a tree in Ottawa next to one planted by the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1983.
In Montreal on their third day, Will and Kate took part in a cooking workshop at the Institut De Tourisme et D'hotellerie Du Quebec, also known as a photo op.
The Huron-Wendat Nation Grand Chief Konrad Sioui met up with the Royals after their cooking class.
Before leaving Montreal, Will and Kate stopped by a center for homeless and young people, where they looked very out of place.
The couple participated in a traditional Mi'kmaq smudging ceremony at Dalvay-By-The-Sea on Prince Edward Island.
Then came the dragon boat race.
Seriously, it was nothing but fun once Will and Kate hit the Northwest Territories. They even played street hockey!
They got to be Honorary Canadian Rangers for the day. It appears that honor involved posing for this photo while wearing these Honorary Canadian Rangers hoodies…
…And then canoeing on Blatchford Lake.
At the end of the day, Will and Kate got jerseys with their names on the back. The couple have Wednesday off for a flight to Calgary, where they'll do more official business with Prime Minister Harper. The Canadian tour will end with a trip to the Calgary Zoo and wreath-laying before the couple hops a flight to Los Angeles.
