Kathleen Quinlan is heading to "Chicago Fire."

The "Prison Break" actress has signed on for a multi-episode arc on the new NBC drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kathleen, who earned a best supporting actress Academy Award nomination for her performance in 1995's "Apollo 13," will play Lt. Matthew Casey's (played by Jesse Spencer) mother, THR reported.

In addition to her work on "Prison Break," Kathleen has recently been seen on "Glee" and "The Event."

And in related "Chicago Fire" news, according to Deadline, the show received an order for five additional scripts this week after experiencing a ratings bump following Wednesday's episode.

"Chicago Fire" airs Wednesdays at 10 PM on NBC.
