If you don’t know much about electric cars, you will soon according to BMW.

In a forthcoming Super Bowl ad previewed on YouTube Monday, the German luxury automaker recalls a time when only a small subsection of America knew what the Internet was, or how radically it would change the world — including journalists Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel.

The commercial opens with a clip of Couric and Gumbel from 1994 trying to figure out how the “@” sign worked, and contrasts it with the two riding in a new BMW i3 and asking questions the company suggests will sound equally ignorant in a future full of electric autos.
