    Katie Holmes' Next Project About A Single Mother & Daughter

    Katie Holmes' next project will hit close to home.

    According to People, the soon-to-be-single actress - who filed for divorce from Tom Cruise last month - will begin production on a new film, "Molly," about a single mother and her daughter.

    The 33-year-old star co-wrote and is co-producing the project.

    The film is reportedly scheduled to shoot until August in New York City, where the actress recently got her own three-bedroom apartment with daughter Suri.

    After "Molly," Katie will begin shooting, "Responsible Adults," a romantic comedy with "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford.

    Over the weekend, the actress was seen meeting with her divorce lawyers in New York City on Saturday morning.

    According to a People source, the star couple is working hard to keep their split private.

    "Neither of them wants this to be hashed out in public," a source told the mag.
