Keira Knightley is opening up about saying yes to rocker James Righton, her now-husband of a year.
"When James proposed, I just thought, 'Well, never done that before.' It seemed like a fun thing to do," the actress told Glamour magazine, which features her on its July 2014 cover.
The actress is next up in the musical rom-com "Begin Again," which sees her singing and co-starring with Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine. And, Keira said "The Voice" judge and Maroon 5 rocker did an excellent job at bringing to life his less-than-sweet character, Dave.
"He did play a d***khead very well. Actually, I admire him being so willing," Keira said. "To play a d***khead is quite a big thing when you are trying to break into film and you want to be likable."
Keira has found herself in many period dramas over the years (like "Pride & Prejudice") and action adventure projects (like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise), and the "Love Actually" alum told Glamour about why she wanted to do a rom-com now.

"[W]ith a feel-good film you are always risking going way too cheesy....But maybe I can have a little holiday where I'm not playing a character who is being destroyed," she said.
"Begin Again" hits theaters on June 27.
