Kelsey Grammer's New Wife Kayte Walsh 'Not Proud' of How Couple's Relationship Began

Kelsey Grammer's fourth wife Kayte Walsh has opened up about her role in the end of the actor's 13-year marriage to TV personality Camille Grammer, saying that she is "not proud" of the way her relationship with the actor began.

Walsh and Grammer sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a new episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" on the OWN network, where Grammer sheds new light on the contentious end to his marriage, and Walsh discusses being vilified for her role in the split.

"I'm not proud of the way we started out," Walsh told Winfrey. "Because he was in a marriage."

In the interview, the "Frasier" and "Boss" star also explains that Camille, who he married in Malibu, Calif., in 1997, had always wanted to be famous, and was angry because she had given up so much to be with the actor.

The couple's divorce drama played out for the world to see on the first season of Bravo's hit reality series, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," on which Camille accused Kelsey of infidelity. At one point on the series she says, "Somebody's in the apartment as Mrs. Grammer, it's just not me."

Camille later discussed the breakdown of her marriage with ABC News' Katie Couric on "Good Morning America."

"My, my whole life was falling apart. My husband left me. He was having an affair with another woman in New York City," she said.

In the interview with Winfrey, the couple, who married last year, show off their one-month-old baby Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer. He also speaking candidly about why he let Camille, who launched her career as a dancer in the 1980s, be part of the "Real Housewives" franchise.

"She always wanted to be famous," Grammer tells Winfrey. "And was angry that she had given up so much to be with me," adding that she had given up her chance at finding fame.

Grammer also opens up about where his relationship stands today with his ex-wife, with whom he had two children via a surrogate mother.

"It's not good," he said. "Some extremely unacceptable behavior took place in front of the children, which makes it impossible for me to pretend that we can try to be civil."

Camille has moved on as well. She's found love again with a new beau, Dimitri Charalambopoulos, and will make special appearances in season three of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," even though for now she's still single.
