In December, it was officially announced that N.W.A. would be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. The group stands out as the outlier of the bunch amongst the other inductees: Steve Miller, Chicago, Cheap Trick, and Deep Purple. Though this recognition is well overdue, it seems the legendary rap group finally earned their spot thanks to the success of their recent biopic, Straight Outta Compton.

After announcing the official inductees, the institution has now revealed some of the special guests who have been given the honors to do the actual inducting during the ceremony. Among the guests are Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, the Black Keys, Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas, and Kendrick Lamar. It seems fair to assume that Kendrick will be inducting N.W.A. given his relationship with the remaining members. The induction in sure to be a memorable moment between Compton’s old school and new school.

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony will take place on April 8 in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. Tickets and additional information are available here.
