Kenyan shilling slightly weaker ahead of New Year holiday
NAIROBI (Reuters) - The Kenyan shilling marginally weakened on Monday in thin volumes ahead of the New Year holiday, traders said. At 09.20 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 86.40/50 from Monday close of 86.30/50. "There has been very little activity in the morning and we don't expect any big movements today. But we shall see a lot of activity from Thursday," said Eric Gathecha, trader at I&M Bank.
