Kevin Conroy & "Weird Al" Yankovic Join 'Batman vs. Robin' Animated Movie

DC's first animated movie of 2015, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, is currently available digitally and the Blu-ray/DVD goes on sale January 27 (click here to read our review), but after that, Batman once again steps into the spotlight! Following the events of Son of Batman, Batman vs. Robin will focus on the father and son relationship between Bruce and Damian Wayne while also introducing the Court of Owls. As expected, Jason O’Mara (Batman) and Stuart Allan (Damian Wayne) will reprise their roles. Son of Batman's Sean Maher (Dick Grayson) and David McCallum (Alfred Pennyworth) are also returning. However, a very unexpected surprise is the fact Kevin Conroy will voice Thomas Wayne (flashback time!) and "Weird Al" Yankovic has been cast as Dollmaker. Also joining the cast is Jeremy Sisto (Talon), Robin Atkin Downes (Grandmaster) and Peter Onorati (Draco).

Jay Oliva will direct and the script is by J.M. DeMatteis. And, of course, James Tucker is producing. Expect the movie to go on sale sometime this spring and it'll premiere at WonderCon.

After watching the "A Sneak Peak at Batman vs. Robin" special feature in Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, it looks like the movie will obviously borrow elements from Grant Morrison's work and Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's opening New 52 arc, but it looks like the movie may even take some notes from Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's opening New 52 story, Born to Kill.
