KFC Trials ‘Romantic’ Table Service For Couples On Valentine’s Day

What could be more romantic than tearing into a bucket of chicken limbs with your bare hands, pausing occasionally to blow kisses at your other half?

This Valentine’s Day, KFC is trialling a ‘date night’ table service at one branch - complete with waiter service.

Lucky couples will sit at a table with linen napkins flowers and a little stand for the obligatory bucket of chicken.

There’s even a ‘sommelier’ to pour out the Pepsi - although, to be honest, he appears to be an ordinary member of KFC staff.

The move follows McDonald’s introduction of table service at selected restaurants in the UK - where visitors order food via tablet computers built into their tables.

The trial will take place at KFC’s Fishergate branch in Preston, Lancashire.

KFC claims that their surveys show that 38% of couples enjoy a ‘laid back’ meal over a fancy dinner in a posh restaurant.

The idea of their ‘date night’ table is that you get the best of both - on a very reasonable budget.
