Khloe Kardashian cuts ties with PETA, calls them bullies

The Daily Caller

Following Kim Kardashian’s flour bomb incident, her sister Khloè, is cutting ties with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

While promoting her new fragrance at a West Hollywood hotel, a woman, who has been identified as Christina Cho, threw white flour all over Kim. (RELATED: Flour power: Kim Kardashian’s red carpet surprise)

It turns out that Cho is a major PETA activist who has a history of staging anti-fur protests in PETA’s name. Cho’s sister is also a top PETA official in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

Khloè has been a vocal supporter of the organization, even posing nude on a billboard for their “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaign.

Although the animal rights groups claims to have had no part in the red carpet incident, Khloè is not buying it.

“I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise,” Khloè wrote her personal website. “Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior.

“I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time,” she continued, “but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me [and] I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior.”

The youngest Kardashian said she will continue to not wear fur, but will no longer support PETA.

“We all need to practice what we preach,” she wrote, “Bullying and harassment is never a solution and I won’t be part of an organization that thinks otherwise.”

A PETA spokesman, in response to Khloè’s statements, told The Hollywood Reporter:

If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn’t alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot, or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing. Khloe is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister.
