The Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood metropolitan area ranked #5 in the most recent Milken Institute Best-Performing Cities Index. This is an indication of the region’s overall stability, reports Killeen real estate specialist Yolanda Boyarin of the Mosaic Realty Group.
Temple, TX (PRWEB) October 02, 2012
“Our area has a strong economy, sustainable job growth, and a high quality of life,” says Boyarin. “We have been doing relatively well despite the recession, as the Milken Institute index shows, and our overall stability is also evidenced in the continued interest that homebuyers have for Central Texas and Killeen homes for sale.”
This is the third time that the metropolitan area has been ranked in the index’s top ten in recent years. It placed second in 2009 and nabbed the top spot in 2010. According to the Milken Institute, the index “ranks U.S. metropolitan areas by how well they are creating and sustaining jobs and economic growth.” The Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood MSA ranked first in the 5-year wages and salaries growth category and third in 1-year job growth.
