Kings of Leon Lock in on 'SNL'

A week after treating KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas to some nutty guitar showmanship, Nashville rockers Kings of Leon traveled back across the country to hit  Saturday Night Live last night with two tracks from their latest album, Mechanical Bull, which they released in September. The Followill brothers kept the stage vibe straightforward as they led with "Temple," before slowing things down with the power ballad "Wait For Me."

Earlier this week, the band announced a second leg for their 2014 tour, which they'll kick off on March 19th in Phoenix and wrap up on April 11th in New Orleans. They'll also continue on the TV circuit tomorrow when they perform on Ellen

Kings Of Leon have clearly bounced back well from the meltdown that derailed their 2011 tour. Describing the revived energy the band brought to their new album, Nathan Followill recently told Rolling Stone, "It was how we sounded when we started playing as a band, excited to plug in."
