Kobe Bryant Retirement Poem Crashes Player’s Tribune Site
The long time L.A. Lakers legend is hanging up his hoops – in verse.
With a poem posted today on the Player’s Tribune website Kobe Bryant announced that he is retiring from the Lakers and the NBA at the end of this season – his 20th in the league.

The not entirely unexpected announcement from the 37-year old 5-time NBA championship winner Bryant promptly crashed the Derek Jeter founded pro-athletes site for almost an hour on Sunday afternoon. It seems to be up now and, if so, you can read Kobe’s goodbye poem here.
There’ll be more Kobe very soon Sunday as the Lakers are playing the Indiana Pacers tonight and the 2-time Olympic Gold medalist is expected to be on the court.
