    Kogan Responds as Australians Tighten Their Belts

    As Australians continue to tighten the purse strings, leading online retailer Kogan has responded by expanding its product range to include some of Australia’s most affordable electronic products.

    As Australians continue to tighten the purse strings, leading online retailer Kogan has responded by expanding its product range to include some of Australia’s most affordable electronic products.

    The new recent product launch included a stylish Touchscreen 6” eBook reader ($169), a Twin Tuner PVR (from $59) and a fully featured compact video camera (starting at $265).


    In unveiling the new product range, Kogan said the products were a response to increasingly price-conscious spending habits from consumers.

    “Economic uncertainty remains high in Australia. People are feeling very cautious. A natural flow on effect is that shoppers are watching their dollars more closely, looking for the best deal they can get.

    “During times like these, retailers who don’t innovate by offering better value products will get left behind.

    “So that is what we strive to do. At Kogan we listen to the needs of our customers and create products to match. To date we’ve sold over 300,000 products to consumers who shop smart. Our new product launch is testament to the view that Kogan equals the best value technology in Australia.

    “We had countless requests for a touchscreen version of our extremely popular eBook Reader, so we responded by introducing that feature to the range. We then received customer requests for an AVI recording option on our video cameras, again we responded by changing the file format of our cameras.

    “When we started receiving requests for our PVR to be upgraded with twin tuners, allowing you to record two shows at once, we responded by introducing the feature.

    “The list goes on and is simply a demonstration of our commitment to offer our customers exactly what they want at the best price possible. We’ve built our reputation as one of Australia’s most well-known brands by avoiding guess work and instead responding to our customers needs through engaging with them directly.

    “Many of our most popular products were solely created in response to customer requests. If you ask, we’ll listen,” Kogan said.
