    BamPly® is now a registered trademark of Pacific Western Wood, Inc. BamPly® bamboo panels are imported directly from mills in China by PWW. Bamboo plywood is made from a sustainable resource and qualifies for a number of LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits. Bamboo is actually a grass, and is easily manufactured into lumber or plywood. It’s a rapidly renewable resource and regrows much faster than hardwood trees. Some bamboo species grow 3 feet in one day but five to six year-old Moso bamboo plants are considered mature and best for making high-quality bamboo plywood.

    Bamboo is now used in thousands of products from clothing to cutting boards but this “green” material is becoming a favorite of architects and interior designers. Because it is manufactured with a non-formaldehyde glue and it is rapidly renewable, Bamboo plywood qualifies for LEED credits MR 6 (Rapid Renewable Materials) and EQ 4 (Low or No Added Urea Formaldehyde).
