Kristen Stewart just found out why so many actresses aren't fans of doing nude scenes - video of her topless "On The Road" car cavorting has already leaked online.
Kristen has previously said that she really wanted to push herself by doing the threesome scene, and Bella fans might be shocked at her character's brazen behavior in "On The Road." Of course no actress wants to be known for just stripping down, but tons of former teen stars seem to see it as a way to show the world that they're ready to be serious actresses.
And who can blame Kristen for wanting to shed her skin by showing some skin? She's been playing Bella since she was 18, so she's probably pretty happy to be free from that character. Plus perhaps she also took a look at how successful these former teen stars that do nude scenes have been since trying to appeal to older audiences:
Just like K-Stew, Christina got to star in an unlikely love story as a teen - while Kristen's Bella falls for a vampire in "Twilight," her "Casper" character falls for a ghost. Ricci recently shot nude scenes with Kristen's boyfriend Robert Pattinson in "Bel Ami," and she said this about stripping down: "You know those days are coming… you dread it, then you suck it up and do it. Sometimes you [forget the crew are there], it depends on how many days you've had your clothes off for."
This blonde beauty who became a teen star on "Dawson's Creek" might seem sweet and innocent with her pixie-like appearance, but brave Michelle has no problem taking on gritty roles and stripping down -- she even helped "Prozac Nation" costar Ricci with her first nude scene by providing moral support. Michelle got to get skintimate with Ryan Gosling in "Blue Valentine," but even a pro at shooting nude scenes like her frets about being so free with her body. Here's what she told W Magazine about her latest movie "Take This Waltz:" I have the usual self-loathing and body issues, and yet I seem to be naked in a lot of movies." She went on to say, "It would be really nice if the pictures did not get posted online. But then maybe that's a reason to do it: Just get naked, and who cares if it ends up on the Internet."
Just like K-Stew, Michelle's "Brokeback Mountain" costar once tried to reinvent the princess - Kristen recently gave Snow White a gritty makeover, while Anne modernized the Cinderella story in "The Princess Diaries." The teen actress looked like the next Julia Roberts with her mega-watt smile, but she took a different career path by later choosing to do nude scenes in movies like "Havoc." She actually appeared in the buff with Jake Gyllenhaal in both "Brokeback Mountain" and "Love & Other Drugs," but stripping down didn't get easier the second time around. She told Fox News this about the sex scenes that were required for her racy "Love & Other Drugs" role: "It is intensely mortifying taking your clothes off in front of other people, but it is also intensely mortifying doing a lot of things in front of people and I've learned how to deal with that."
And Kirsten is yet another former teen star that has starred alongside Michelle - the actresses played best friends in the quirky Nixon comedy "Dick." However, her most popular teen movie role was definitely her cheerleading captain character in "Bring it On." She seamlessly made the transition from teen star to adult star in the 2002 movie "Spider-Man," and it wasn't until the 2011 movie "Melancholia" that she felt the need to strip down. She told ABC News this about her first nude scene: "What we made as a film means more to me than the fact that, you know, I'm on the Internet naked. It looks beautiful, it was shot well. It's a beautiful film. It is not something I feel embarrassed about."
So at least K-Stew is in good company - all of these successful former teen stars also had to worry about their nude scenes being splashed all over the internet, but they bravely bared it all anyway.
