    KVMSwitchTech Upgrades Full Line of Extender Products Including Enhanced Fiber Optic KVM Extender and USB 2.0 Extender Products

    Whether for use in a small office/home office, IT management, or industrial testing environment, extenders for electronic devices have become a necessary part of many work spaces. From the USB Extender for connecting and sharing USB peripherals, to the VGA Extender, DVI Extender and HDMI Extender for connecting high definition displays, and KVM Extenders for remote system management; many companies are finding that extenders are vital to their operations. KVMSwitchTech understands these diverse and changing needs and is constantly updating their product line to match the times.

    As the steady march of progress brings fiber optic connectivity to a larger sector of the population, remote connectivity and control is becoming a more feasible option. KVMSwitchTech’s new Fiber Optic KVM Extender products bring the ability to control systems at unbelievable distances using a single multi-mode fiber optic cable. These extenders allow for the direct remote monitoring and control of servers and systems with DVI interfaces and either PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse along with audio and RS232 at distances up to 15 kilometers (approximately 9.3 miles).

    Not every situation requires that much power. With that in mind, KVMSwitchTech has also updated their Cat5 USB Extender product line to include a larger number of USB 2.0 Extender solutions. The product line includes entire range of Icron USB 2.0 Extender products and a four port USB 2.0 over IP server. The available options are Icron USB Ranger 2201, Icron USB Ranger 2101, Icron USB Ranger 2104, Icron USB Ranger 2212, Icron USB Ranger 2204, Icron WiRanger Wireless USB Extender, Icron USB Ranger 2224 Fiber Optic Extender, and Icron USB Ranger 2244 Fiber Optic Extender. People looking for USB options are now sure to find something that will meet their needs.

    KVMSwitchTech has also streamlined the Video Extender portion of their product line. Customers who are looking for Cat5 HDMI Extender solutions will be happy to know that all Cat5e/Cat6 HDMI Splitter extender products now include the appropriate number of receivers for each transmitter type. Whether purchasing 2, 4, or 8 port splitter extenders, there is no need to worry about whether the full complement of receivers will be included. These extender units are used in airports, hospital, digital signage, home theater, government, movie theaters, malls, and tradeshow applications. KVMSwitchTech plans on bringing these kit options to the VGA Extender and DVI Extender products in the near future as well. The exception to this would be the fully customizable HDMI Matrix routing Switcher. It supports Cat5e/Cat6 and HDMI connectors for inputs or outputs for a total of 64 different configurations. It offers full configuration ability to include field upgradable modules.
