Latest beta gives us new hints about what’s to come in iOS 8.3

Apple’s upcoming iOS 8.3 update will bring a new set of settings for downloading free content from the iTunes and the App Store, thus allowing users to skip authentications for free-to-download items, 9to5Mac reports.

The new “Free downloads” toggle represents a new password setting found in iOS 8.3 (image below), which basically lets users turn off password requirements for content that’s available for free in iTunes or the App Store. The feature might be especially handy on older iOS devices that don’t have Touch ID fingerprint sensors or for users who don’t like using fingerprints for as a way to authorize free iTunes and App Store downloads.

The new setting is apparently disabled in iOS 8.3 betas, but should be enabled once Apple rolls out the final iOS 8.3 build.

In addition to this new password setting, iOS 8.3 will bring other interesting features, as 9to5Mac points out, including support for placing calls via Siri on speakerphone, support for additional languages for Siri, a new Emoji keyboard and wireless CarPlay, among others.
