Latest Olympics fashion: Ralph Lauren unveils closing ceremony attire for Team USA
The London 2012 Olympics keep getting more and more stylish, with Ralph Lauren this week unveiling an almost all-white collection of elegant closing ceremony garb for the US team.
The designer has revealed shirt-dresses and booties for the female athletes and button-downs and pants for the men. Accessories include newsboy caps and patriotic red, white, and blue belts. The opening ceremony looks will be revealed at a later date, while selected pieces from the Ralph Lauren 2012 Team USA Olympic Collection are already on sale at RalphLauren.com.
Fashionistas have already been treated to Stella McCartney’s stylish Team GB kit, which is inspired by the Union Jack flag and focuses on its white and blue shades rather than the red.
Other Olympic teams not wanting to be left out in the style stakes include Italy, with Giorgio Armani designing its sporting and formal wear kits, and Azerbaijan, whose athletes will be wearing a kit designed by Italian label Ermanno Scervino.
