App developers have found plenty of ways to get creative with the widget support that Apple added to iOS recently. For example, a nifty new widget app called Uplify lets you launch apps, post to social networks or even send pre-configured messages through your favorite messaging app, all initiated right on your lock screen or from any other screen.

This neat iPhone app from developer mobiVative is a free download, but it only supports a few apps in the free version. Then, a $1.99 in-app purchase unlocks all supported apps and allows you to configure additional text responses.
