    About Bryan Clay

    Bryan has performed at the apex of the decathlon and track and field throughout his career. In 2004, he won the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships, the 2004 Olympic Trials, and the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics. He followed his 2004 performance with a win at the 2005 World Championships and 2006 #1 ranking as the top decathlete in the world.

    In 2008, after winning the Olympic Trials in Oregon with the second highest total score in US history, Bryan won a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics where he led his competitors in points from start to finish (Clay won with the largest point-margin since 1972).

    Bryan was born to Gregory and Michele Clay on January 3, 1980, in Austin, Texas.


    Bryan is married (wife Sarah) with three kids (Jacob, Katherine and Ellie). He established his own foundation, the Bryan Clay Foundation, in order to inspire kids to make wise decisions, develop good time management skills, stay in school, follow their dreams, and maintains a well-balanced life style. He enjoys coaching, hunting, fishing, and the beach.
