Leading Role for Fox's Lucifer Has Been Cast
Looks like Fox finally has its Lucifer Morningstar. Rush actor Tom Ellis has been cast as the lead role in the upcoming Fox drama Lucifer, based on the Vertigo property of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As stated previously, the show centers around the Lord of Hell, who resigns his throne after becoming bored and unhappy. Lucifer heads to Los Angeles and ends up working with the LAPD and helping the solve crimes.
The script will be written by Californication creator Tom Kapinos.Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will executive produce and Kristie Anne Reed with co-executive produce. Len Wiseman will direct the pilot.
