COMMENTARY | Quick, can anyone tell me what the real issues are in the presidential campaign? If you follow the mainstream media you would think it is Rush Limbaugh, woman's health care, "critical race theory" and even Sarah Palin.
Herman Cain put it best in an interview with The Christian Post when he said the left is guilty of SIN: shifting the subject, ignorance of facts and name calling. One only has to listen to any of the mainstream media outlets to see this. As Cain states the left will do anything to divert the attention from what the main issues are.
Look at the Limbaugh story. Instead of focusing on the real issue, that of the government forcing religions to go against their moral conscience and infringing on religious freedom, they are focusing on Limbaugh and calling him names. And now high-profile celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, wants Florida to press charges against him. Where is Allred when it comes to suing someone like Bill Maher or Keith Olbermann for questioning Sarah Palin's "chastity"?
There was the release last week showing more of Barack Obama's ties to various radical blacks, this time Derek Bell a radical Harvard professor. The mainstream media in classic left style goes after the messenger instead of the message. In this case the message is not that Obama has (or had depending on your point of view) ties to radicals, but that the media did not put these ties in front of the public so they could make up their own minds. This was pointed out brilliantly by Joel Pollack, Andrew Breitbart's editor-in-chief, when he appeared on CNN.
For the left and the mainstream media, it really is all about SIN as Cain says. They clearly have an agenda and no longer are independent news sources searching the truth. They have been corrupted in their thinking by the progressives who are intent on suppressing any opposition to their goals. This is what Breitbart was all about, exposing this bias and this agenda.
