LG Starts Production of New Smartphone Screens, Rumored to be Used in Apple's iPhone

LG kicked off production of new, thinner smartphone screens, which are speculated to be part of Apple's next-generation iPhone.
"We just began mass production and we don't expect any disruption in supplies," said Han Sang-beom, chief executive of LG Display.

Reports are swirling around Apple's upcoming iPhone, likely to be announced on Sept. 12, though nothing has been confirmed yet. But there is one rumor that nearly everyone agrees on: The new iPhone will have a larger screen than its 3.7-inch predecessor, the iPhone 4S.
Flickr Updates Android App With New UI
The new version of Flickr's Android app brings a new navigation menu, better search and an improved "Explore" section that can now sort photos according to interest level and location. Users can also choose any camera installed on their device to take a photo.

Facebook Updates Android App With Event Creation and More
Flickr is not the only company that's decided to refresh its Android app. Facebook has also released an updated version of its app, adding the ability to create events, as well as add photos and emoticons to messages. Get it here.
