A viral video LG is using to promote its monitors is prompting conspiracy theories about whether it's a fake.

Chief among the complaints about the video is the switch in perspective. As one commenter points out, when the shot inside the elevator is from the ceiling, you see straight down the elevator shift. But when the view changes to inside the elevator, you see the side of the shaft. The commenter argues that such a shift is impossible to do with images projected on a monitor.

Commenters have also pointed out that at 1:26 in the video, a frame reveals the reflection of green light on the elevator's railing, indicating that perhaps a green screen was used on the floor.
Officially, LG is coy about whether the ad is a fake. "We think it's best to leave it to the viewers to decide," Sabrina Eilers, a rep for LG in the Netherlands, told Mashable. Eilers said that the brand is considering releasing a "making of" video to clarify things.
At the moment, though, the speculation is working in LG's favor. The video, released on Oct. 19, has gotten around 3 million views on YouTube.
