Lib leadership races heats up as Garneau goes after Trudeau

OTTAWA - The gloves have come off in the federal Liberal leadership race.

Marc Garneau has launched a direct attack on front-runner Justin Trudeau.

Garneau accuses Trudeau of failing to detail what he stands for and he says that's like asking people to buy a new car without test driving it first.

He is challenging his fellow Montreal MP to come clean on the kinds of policies he would promote as Liberal leader.

Until now, rival candidates have taken only veiled shots at the front-runner.
