BENGHAZI, Libya (Reuters) - Libya's western El Feel oil field is still closed due to a strike by security guards, a field engineer said on Monday. "The strike is ongoing," said the engineer, asking not to be named. State oil firm NOC, which had confirmed the closure on Sunday, could not be reached for comment. El Feel, which analysts say produced about 100,000 barrels per day (bpd), is operated by a joint venture owned by NOC and Italy's Eni. Libya this year had managed to restart El Feel after it had to shut late last year when a group in the Zintan region, which opposes a self-declared government in Tripoli, closed a pipeline.
