Everything you need to know about Miami County’s Wine Trolley:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If you are above the age of 21 and looking for a unique activity to do this spring and summer, look no further than the Miami County Wine Trolley.

The popular excursion is officially open for its 2024 season and is offering fun ways for Kansas Citians to not only explore Miami County’s award-winning wineries but also “the most scenic wineries in the region.”

According to a news release, the trolley is open on the weekends starting at 11 a.m. on Saturdays and 11:45 a.m. on Sundays. It picks up riders at a designated area in Paola, Kansas and will take them to three wineries: Nighthawk Vineyard and Winery, Isinglass Estate Vineyard and Winery, and Somerset Ridge Vineyard and Winery. On Sundays, the tour will visit Fossil Springs Winery and rotate the two others.

The tour costs $30 per person and will last around five hours (a little over an hour at each location) with each winery charging a $10 tasting fee.

According to the website, tours are only open to people 21 and older and reservations are required. If your group consists of more than four people, the trolley asks that the “group leader” call with the required information and provide one form of payment at that time.
