Get ready to boogie at 70s-themed prom this weekend
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Grab your grooviest attire and transport back to the 70s at an adult prom hosted by the Salt Lake County Library’s Viridian Event Center.
Under sparkling lights and disco balls, attendees will get to dance the night away as a DJ spins music from the era, with plenty of decorations to match.
The 70s prom is part of the Viridian Event Center’s ongoing “Adult Night Out” series, dedicated to providing free and engaging experiences at the library.
It will take place Friday, May 10, from 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Although it is free, guests can register in advance online.
There will also be a costume contest, a themed photo booth and mocktails to enjoy.
“We’re excited to host this special event for our adult community,” said event coordinator Cali Holcombe. “70s Prom is a chance for attendees to relive the magic of disco and enjoy a night of dancing and camaraderie in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.”
