    Lightning Labels Unveils Lineup of Eco-Friendly Label Materials

    The environmentally friendly label materials are designed to meet product manufacturers’ growing need for green packaging solutions, which is expected to rise 6% each year through 2015. Product offerings include a fully compostable paper made from rocks named BioStone, label materials recycled from 100% post-consumer waste, and a bioplastic.

    Lightning Labels launched its line of eco-friendly label materials today, including a fully compostable paper made from rocks called BioStone©. The new label materials will help product manufacturers keep up with the increased demand for green packaging solutions, which is expected to rise to $212 billion by 2015.

    SUMMARY


    Worldwide demand for sustainable packaging is projected to rise 6% each year through 2015, according to MarketResearch.com's new report “World Green Packaging.” Although Lightning Labels’ entire line of environmentally-friendly label materials will help meet this need, packaging suppliers and product makers might want to pay special attention to BioStone. Consumer demand for biodegradable packaging offerings such as BioStone label material will continue to see double-digit annual growth rates. Other offerings include label materials recycled from 100% post-consumer waste, and a plant-based eco plastic that is water and oil resistant.
