Listen to Mark Hamill read a Donald Trump tweet as the Joker from Batman

In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Election, Donald Trump’s Twitter account seemingly took on a life of its own. Whereas other Presidential candidates relied on Twitter to send out carefully crafted, distilled and ultimately bland messages, Donald Trump used it to relay whatever random thoughts happened to pop into his head.

Even after winning the election, Trump’s penchant for tweeting hasn’t died down in the slightest. Just last week, for example, the President-Elect took shots at Arnold Schwarzenegger after the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice didn’t perform as well ratings-wise as it did when Trump was the host of the reality show.

With Trump’s Twitter account being what it is, Mark Hamill over the weekend decided to have some fun and recorded a Trump tweet using his Joker voice from Batman: The Animated Series.

Posted to his Twitter account, naturally, the result is as entertaining as an off-the-cuff Trump tweet itself.

Hamill’s tweet says that this is “Trumpster quote #1” so we can undoubtedly look forward to more Joker-themed Trump tweets in the not too distant future. At the very least, Hamill will never be at a loss for source material. Far from a Trump fan, Hamill a few weeks back said that “Nobody writes better super-villain dialogue than #Trumputin!”

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Donald Trump has successfully managed to wield Twitter to his great advantage. To this point, the Washington Post said the following in December of 2015, back when many folks scoffed at the idea that Trump had an even miniscule chance of landing in the Oval Office.

History will be the ultimate judge, but Trump appears to be on his way to becoming the first major U.S. politician to use it in a way that truly shapes — not just amplifies — his message. He uses his Twitter account to make news, lob attacks or wage threats against those who disagree with him and, seemingly most centrally for Trump, create a community of ever-growing people who appear to agree with him wholeheartedly.

It’s a dynamic, real-time messaging tool that’s under his complete control.

At the very least, Hamill will presumably be quite busy over the next four years.
