On January 20, 2012, a short and sweet skate video was released entitled A Little Skateboard Action With. If you haven't seen it yet, you should. It will make you want to find an empty pool or bowl and go skate. Here are a few more details about the video and the skaters who appeared in it:
About the Skate Video
The A Little Skateboard Action With... video was filmed by Cody Green and was released by Street Canoe. It stars Riley Stevens, Robbie Russo, Elijah Berle and Ronnie Sandoval rocking a series of bowls. Of course there were a lot of awesome aerials and sick transitions dished out by all the skaters involved. The film was shot at Channel Street and various other locations across Malibu, California. Elijah Berle was on fire when it came to destroying the coping. So was Riley Stevens. Sandoval also unleashed a wicked handplant.
Riley Stevens
Riley Stevens is a regular footed skater who has spent time living in both Arizona and California. His frontside airs and backtails are usually dead on. Stevens has been skating competitively on and off since the early 2000s. In 2011 he participated in the CONS Coastal Carnage and made it as far as 21st place in the Qualifiers.
Robbie Russo
Stevens' cohort Robbie Russo is a regular footed, amateur skater who hails from San Pedro, California. Don't let the fact that he is still on amateur status fool you into thinking he doesn't have the skills to pay the bills. Russo is able to bust out a lien melon over the hip as good as any pro can. His backside stalefish is sublime as well. Russo's career highlights include a 7th place win at the 2011 CONS Coastal Carnage.
Elijah Berle
Elijah Berle is a goofy footed am from California. He has been skating competitively since the early 2000s and his career highlights include a 1st place win at the 2010 Tampa Am. In 2011 he participated in the Maloof Money Cup's DC stop as well as the Tampa Am and the Phoenix Am with mixed results. He only made it to the qualifiers at the Tampa Am and in DC. He did a bit better in Phoenix. While there he made it to 21st place in the Semi-Finals. Berle receives sponsorship support from Spitfire Wheels, Independent Trucks, Chocolate Skateboards and others.
Ronnie Sandoval
And last but certainly not least is Ronnie Sandoval. He has been ripping it up righteously since he was 13 years old. In 2011 he took 2nd in the Men's Division at the Annual Chili Bowl in San Francisco and delivered a pretty mean slob air at the Day of the Dead Shred.
My children are skaters and I have a history of following the sport.
