Liverpool tops this week's Associated Press global football poll for the fifth time this season and for the second consecutive week after its 3-2 win over Norwich kept it atop the English Premier League.

Raheem Sterling made it a double for Liverpool in the poll, as his two goals in the victory earned him leading player honors.

Atletico Madrid remains second this week after it won 2-0 against Elche to stay first in the Spanish League.

City rival Real Madrid is third, a point behind Atletico, after winning the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona. Gareth Bale, who won the copa with a fantastic solo goal, is runner-up to Sterling.
