Liza Wang and Angie Chiu reunite after over 30 years
23 Jun - Veteran stars Liza Wang and Angie Chiu will be reunited again after over thirty years through TVB's upcoming series, "Master of Destiny".
According to Mingpao News, the two actresses, who co-starred in ""The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre" back in 1978, will star in the upcoming Wong Jing production about three brothers, who are in battle to gain control of their family business.
Liza will play the matriarch of the family, while Angie will be the birth mother of Kenny Wong's character.
Speaking to the media at the press conference of the new series on 22 June, Liza joked, "In "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre", we fought for Cheung Mo Kei. Now, we're fighting for our son."
She also denied past rumours about their supposed rivalry, though admitted that they had not been in contact with each other for over 30 years.
"I'm in Hong Kong, while she is always going back and forth between Taiwan and mainland China. When we do meet up, it's usually during social events," she said.
As for whether they will start meeting up after working together, Liza replied in the negative.
"We have different social circles and I rarely have tea with colleagues," she said.
