  • Girl, 10, killed by shot

    An Oak Point man was jailed Friday on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting death of his 10-year-old daughter. Duke Lawrence Watrous, 36, was being held at the Denton County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail. Investigators believe the shooting was likely an accident, Texas Ranger Tracy Murphree said.
