Recently, the Nampa Chamber of Commerce president learned there are 500 children without homes in the Nampa School District.       BOISE -- Idaho Power says 1,657 customers in Meridian are without electricity this afternoon. An outage was reported around 11'35 a.m. in the area of Amity and Eagle roads.  The problem has been located at a substation and crews are working to fix it.  No word yet on when power will be restored.
