  • Authorities arrest man for plotting to kill local police chief

      CALDWELL -- The Canyon County Sheriff's Office arrested this man today, 24-year-old John Wayne Richmond Junior of Caldwell. He appeared before a Grand Jury today where he was charged with Solicitation to Commit Murder. His target? Court records say it's Homedale Police Chief Jeff Eidemiller.       NAMPA -- The cold weather is affecting the homeless and that includes homeless families. Recently, the Nampa Chamber of Commerce president learned there are 500 children without homes in the Nampa School District.
