  • Authorities arrest man for plotting to kill local police chief

      CALDWELL -- The Canyon County Sheriff's Office arrested this man today, 24-year-old John Wayne Richmond Junior of Caldwell.   • Family living in their car because Nampa shelter is full

      NAMPA -- The cold weather is affecting the homeless and that includes homeless families. Recently, the Nampa Chamber of Commerce president learned there are 500 children without homes in the Nampa School District.   • Power outage reported in Meridian

    KTVB Boise – Wed Dec 9, 4:28 pm ET  

      BOISE -- Idaho Power says 1,657 customers in Meridian are without electricity this afternoon. An outage was reported around 11'35 a.m. in the area of Amity and Eagle roads.  The problem has been located at a substation and crews are working to fix it.  No word yet on when power will be restored.   • CWI hires new faculty for spring semester

      BOISE --  The hottest ticket around is one to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Wednesday morning the Boise State ticket office started selling tickets to the general public. A total of 19,000 tickets are available for BSU fans.  The ticket office says about 3,500 are still available.       RIGBY, Idaho -- A former eastern Idaho day care worker charged in the death of an 18-month-old infant has entered a plea in the case.     BOISE -- Charges are being filed against a woman prosecutors say hit a boy riding a bike then fled the scene. The accident happened six months ago, last June.   • Woman charged in hit and run of boy on bike

      BOISE -- The Ada County Prosecutor's Office will press charges against a woman suspected of a hit and run back in June. Boise Police took 40-year-old Hawa Williams into custody Monday.
