  • Many Join Community Thanksgiving Dinner

  • Twelve Apply for Aurora Board Seat

    In a special meeting held on Mon., Nov. 30, members of the Aurora Town Board announced that the town had received the applications of 12 people interested in filling the board seat vacated Nov. 18 by Kelly Wahl.   • Absolut Care Collecting Items for Troops

    Absolut Care of Aurora Park is teaming up with Kaleida Health for Jason's Care Packages. This is a service to provide care packages to servicemen and women who might not receive supplies during the holiday season. Jason Arnette, for whom the program was named, was killed while serving in Iraq in April 2007. He was active in efforts to send materials to troops overseas prior to his own deployment. Full Story »

  • Troopers Make DWI Arrests on Marilla and Elma Roads

  • Voters Approve Iroquois Facilities Project

    Iroquois School District voters approved a $17.5 million capital facility project on Tues., Dec. 1 by a margin of 422 to 226. The referendum attracted a relatively small number of voters. The project, which district officials have said will not directly impact property taxes, will include work at each of the district’s six school buildings. Full Story »

  • DWI Arrest on Transit Road in Elma

    At approximately 2:39 a.m. on the morning of Thurs., Nov. 19, New York State Police stopped a vehicle on Transit Road in the Town of Elma. The operator, a 32-year-old woman from Orchard Park, failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
