  • Fresno Chaffee Zoo Loses Black Leopard

    The Fresno Chaffee Zoo announced on Thursday that “Kalika” the black leopard, often called a panther, had to be euthanized following an illness. Kalika, also called Kali, died following an extended treatment for renal failure, a chronic condition in which the kidneys fail to function properly.   • New Marijuana Ordinance in Tulare County

    An ordinance for medical marijuana shops went into effect Thursday in Tulare County. Sheriff's deputies will be visiting the cooperatives throughout the day to see if they're complying with the new rules. The ordinance limits the number of plants to 99 per co-op. They must also get business licenses renewed annually and smoking medical marijuana within the co-op is not permitted. Full Story »

Clovis Police during a four month investigation, undercover officers were able to buy ecstasy and cocaine from Lewis.     Clovis Police are looking for the gunman who fired into a home and injured a woman. The victim was shot around 2:30 Thursday morning while standing inside a home near National and Minnewawa.
